What are maintenance fees?
A GoMining Digital Miner corresponds to real machines that use electricity and need upkeep. Those costs are charged daily as maintenance fees, deducted from your rewards. They come in two parts.
| Fee | What sets it |
|---|---|
| Electricity | The miner’s hashrate (TH), its efficiency (W/TH) and the electricity rate applied by GoMining. |
| Service | A cost per TH covering hosting and machine upkeep. |
These fees are set in dollars and converted to Bitcoin at the daily rate: when Bitcoin falls, they take a bigger share of your rewards.
The key role of efficiency (W/TH)
Efficiency tells you how many watts are used per TH. It doesn’t change the gross reward, but it weighs directly on the electricity bill:
At equal hashrate, a 15 W/TH miner uses far less than a 25 W/TH miner. Over months of mining, the gap becomes large. That is why GoMining lets you upgrade a miner’s efficiency, for a fee.
An upgrade isn’t always worth it. Its cost has to be compared with the fee savings it brings: depending on the starting level and the Bitcoin price, the payback period can be long.
The maintenance discount
GoMining grants a discount on fees based on several criteria. It appears in the daily reward breakdown, already added up:
- your account’s VIP level;
- paying maintenance in GOMINING tokens rather than Bitcoin;
- the mining mode and service option you chose.
For an accurate calculation, copy the total discount as displayed rather than adding each benefit yourself. Where to find the discount
How to lower your maintenance fees
- Choose efficient miners from the start: look at W/TH as much as price. Choosing well on the market
- Use the discount by paying maintenance in GOMINING tokens, if it fits your strategy.
- Simulate an efficiency upgrade before buying it.
- Follow the effect of the Bitcoin price: when it falls, the share of fees rises.
Tracking fees with GreedyHQ

GreedyHQ calculates each miner’s fees with its own efficiency, applies your discount and shows the net result for the whole farm. Its settings include efficiency levels and upgrade costs, and its simulator tells you whether an upgrade is worth it based on your data. See the profitability calculator
Frequently asked questions
Are GoMining maintenance fees mandatory?
Yes. They cover electricity and machine upkeep, and are deducted every day from your Digital Miners’ rewards.
Can I pay maintenance in GOMINING?
Yes, and this payment method gives you a maintenance discount. The exact terms are shown in the GoMining app.
What is a good W/TH?
The lower, the better. Always weigh efficiency against price: a very efficient but overpriced miner can be less attractive.
Can fees exceed rewards?
It can happen for inefficient miners when the Bitcoin price falls or difficulty rises. That is why tracking the net reward matters.
